Giving Back

Once upon a time, Julianne attempted suicide and was committed to a psychiatric hospital. When she got out, she did what any sane person would do - she wrote a comedy about it.

With her solo show and playwriting debut, From Bonkers to Botox, she set out to entertain, educate, and inspire others who may be dealing with depression.

The show enjoyed a 9-week sold out run in Los Angeles, was a featured performance at HBO’s Aspen Comedy Festival, and became the basis for a development deal with NBC/Universal Television.

Bonkers also became a fundraising vehicle for the Didi Hirsch Suicide Prevention Center. Julianne maintains her involvement with the organization by emceeing and raising funds for Didi Hirsch’s annual “Alive & Running 5K” event, and is currently training to become a member of the Speaker’s Bureau to prevent suicide through awareness and outreach.
